Achieve Your Ultimate Dreams
By Mary-Anne MacPherson, RHN, RNCP

If I could wave my magical wand right now, what would be your greatest desire? Does it seem possible for you to achieve your goals or are they only far-away dreams? What if I told you that you could create anything you want? And what would be possible for you when you bring yourself to your place of power in the moment of choice?

The simple 3-step formula to achieving anything you want to do, be or have is this:

1. Discover your passion...

Passion: Joseph Campbell says: "Follow your bliss". These are the 3 most important words in creating a life that is successful to you. And you must know exactly what you want. It's not enough to say, "I want to get a great job." You want to say, "My passion is designing homes. I want to earn $$$ (exact amount) annually. I plan to research all the areas that would love to hire someone with my skills, and where I would enjoy working. I will make a list by Friday afternoon, and approach these businesses by close in one week. I will do all follow-up calls within 2 business days and I will have fun doing it. I know the right and perfect job is waiting for me and I will celebrate my success by taking my family out for dinner to (restaurant of choice) on (exact date)."

2. Get a vision of what you want to achieve...

Vision: Imagine yourself already having achieved your desires. Dr. Joseph Murphy, in the book "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" states, "Every thought entertained by your conscious mind and accepted as true is sent by your brain to your solar plexus (your gut), the brain of your subconscious mind, to be made into your flesh, and to be brought forth into your world as a reality." Einstein said this: "Imagination is more important than knowledge." Remember: mediocrity is self-inflicted and genius is self-bestowed.

90% of creation is done in your brain. Only 10% is action work. So, become the master of your emotions; see, feel and believe that you have already achieved your desire.

3. Take action and allow your dreams to come true...

Action: Create a written precise list of steps that you will take to get you to that desired outcome. Then take all action towards your goals as efficiently as you can. Be very clear on staying focused on your mini-goals that lead to your ultimate goal. This step is where your desire comes to you, but only when you are ready for it, and believe in it. In other words, you must match your desire in belief and emotionally. Enjoy and appreciate it when it arrives.

"Life is supposed to be fun." We can more easily turn our dreams into reality when we are light-hearted about it and can truly believe that we can achieve it. Enjoy the journey!

Remember that you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
