We are a non-profit agency founded in 1989. We exist to assist individuals to overcome barriers to meaningful employment.

We offer a variety of programs and services to help employment seekers unlock their potential and improve their skills.

Our Employment Preparation services help employment seekers learn to develop resumes, prepare for interviews and rediscover the necessary confidence to re-enter the workforce.

Our Skills Training programs provide short-term industrial skills training which prepare participants for work in London’s leading manufacturing, construction and property maintenance organizations.

Our Employment Placement team assists individuals with their job search. In order to help these individuals succeed, we have developed strong relationships with many of London’s leading employers to match their hiring needs to our skilled candidates.

We maintain an Employer focus, and have designed our curriculum with the needs of employers in mind. Our employment professionals match employers’ workforce needs to the skills of our clients for the best fit and long-term success.

We offer Language and Skills Training to English Learners. This takes place at our second site in North East London in partnership with the Centre for Lifelong Learning, World Vision, and Citizen and Immigration Canada. This site is also available as a community resource. 

Small Business Centre
Information and counselling service for potential entrepreneurs and small business owners. Assists with such things as, developing a business plan, resource library, business counselling, business name registration, workshops and seminars.

ClothingWorks is a not for profit organization (sponsored by WIL) that provides interview clothing free of charge for men, women and young adults who have a referral from a London employment counselling or training agency.

Literacy London offers Essential Skills training, literacy/numeracy training, computer assisted learning and employability training. Learners work one on one or in a small group setting and programs are held at various community locations, as well as at Wheable Centre.  Literacy London also offers the 4 week Employment Track Express program at your workplace.  Learners can attend day or evening sessions. London Training Centre
Hospitality Orientation Program: This Employment Assistance Service (EAS) program which is funded by Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC) has been designed to provide employment services for people looking for work in the Foodservice/Hospitality industry. This fulltime program is two weeks long and includes practical “hands on” experience in a commercial kitchen as well as group classroom sessions.

Computer Skills for Employment: This Employment Assistance Service (EAS) program which is funded by Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC) and is provided at no cost to the participants has been designed to provide the pre-employment computer skills people need to help them find work. A Three-Tiered Program for adults ( over 25 ) who are unemployed:

Click on "Register a New Account" link, fill in the necessary information.  An email will be sent to your mail account with a link to take you back to the login page.  Fill in your newly created login name and password and then choose the link to Eligibility.  Then, fill out the Participant Needs Questionnaire and Intake form and viola within 24 hours (except on weekends) our virtual counsellor will respond with suggestions, referrals, leads & job search tips to assist you. We offer a chat room exclusive to interactive clients for job search or employment assistance.

Job Finding Club: For Clients who want to find the best possible job in the shortest possible time.  The Job Finding Club is a three week, full day (6 Hours) job search program conducted by the Centre in a group of twelve to fifteen.  Club members need to have a defined job objective, be ready for work and be willing to use proven methods of finding employment.

 

Nokee Kwe Occupational Skill Development *SDC
Provides career planning, vocational assessment, one-to-one vocational counselling and the Native Employment and Training Service and the Native Literacy Program.

Career Directions Program: A flexible career planning and personal skills assessment program for adults who want to take a good look at alternative career possibilities. Two week assessment process to explain what you're best at and a 4 week intensive group career planning program with on-site workshops.
