Middlesex County Employment Services
A made-in-County program which provides a full range of Itinerant Employment Counselling services to the five Employment Resource Centres in Middlesex County. County residents can access Individual Employment Counselling which could include assessment, help with job search or the development of a comprehensive return to work action plan which may result in a training plan under Skills Development Employment Benefits.
Middlesex Employment Counselling Services also provides a range of group activities such as Job Search, Resume preparations and a Career Development workshop. If necessary referrals can also be make for personal counseling provided on an itinerant basis by community partners.
Employment Counselling in Middlesex County can be accessed at any of the five Employment Resource Centres in the County:
Community social, economic, and cultural development centre offering job bank, resume writing, fax service . Community Outreach serving children, youth and seniors.
Government Access Information Network provides information regarding income support and employment programs, labour market information, Job Bank services, access to job listings, career counselling, job search/interview skills workshops, student employment services (including a Job Board specifically for Student Jobs) and internet access.
Educational Services at The GAIN Centre:
- Thames Valley District School Board Strathroy Adult Learning Centre: Complete Grade 12 diploma or secondary credits through in-class and/or self-study
- Gateway to Learning Basic Computers, Literacy and numeracy upgrading
- English as a Second Language
- Personal Support Worker Certificate

Youth En Route helps youth, ages 15-30 with physical, mental health, learning and developmental disabilities find and keep a job.

Quad County Support Services
Services for the developmentally disabled. Offers employment preparation, coaching, resumes, literacy/numeracy programs
Provides employment services and programs for Glencoe and surrounding area. Computer access for word processing, internet, and job search. Educational upgrading and computer courses through correspondence.
Provides services and information to people in the Thames Centre area seeking employment, career training and skills upgrading. Offers computer access for word processing, Internet and job search. Houses government service information and application forms.
Northwest Middlesex Multi Service Centre
Counselling, job search, resume writing, job readiness skills. Adult education, upgrading, summer student employment placement and computer courses.
