Middlesex Employment Services *SDC
A made-in-County program which provides a full range of Itinerant Employment Counselling services to the five Employment Resource Centres in Middlesex County. County residents can access Individual Employment Counselling which could include assessment, help with job search or the development of a comprehensive return to work action plan which may result in a training plan under Skills Development Employment Benefits.
Middlesex Employment Counselling Services also provides a range of group activities such as Job Search, Resume preparations and a Career Development workshop. If necessary referrals can also be make for personal counseling provided on an itinerant basis by community partners.
Employment Counselling in Middlesex County can be accessed at any of the five Employment Resource Centres in the County:
Ausable Community Centre
Community social, economic, and cultural development centre offering job bank, resume writing, fax service . Community Outreach serving children, youth and seniors.
Community Employment Choices
Supports employers and job seekers in meeting the labour market needs of Middlesex County with: job training information, career planning, job search support, job placement opportunities and incentives, as well as referrals to community resources.
Dorchester Employment Resource Centre
Provides services and information to people in the Thames Centre area seeking employment, career training and skills upgrading. Offers computer access for word processing, Internet and job search. Houses government service information and application forms.
Middlesex County Library
Middlesex County Library operates Employment Resource Centres as part of the services offered through the library system.
Northwest Middlesex Multi Service Centre
